WHO WE ARE?
The PHRSN is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established in 2010 by a group of socially motivated youth public health researchers, professionals, and academicians. As a multidisciplinary NGO, we focus on generating evidence that informs policies and creates sustainable solutions aimed at improving people’s quality of life.
We are committed to fostering a society where everyone has access to sustainable livelihoods. Through innovative approaches, we work to address urgent challenges and needs, ensuring that solutions are both practical and impactful. By focusing on quality, we strive to create lasting change for communities in need, helping build a more resilient and equitable future.
PHRSN is also a Center of Excellence in Epidemic Outbreak Prevention and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), serving as a think tank and action hub for youth public health professionals. We engage young minds in research, innovation, and practical solutions to tackle pressing public health issues, empowering them to lead the charge in building healthier, more resilient communities.

On behalf of the Public Health Research Society Nepal (PHRSN), I warmly welcome you to our website. Here, you can explore our ongoing and past activities, research, and programs that reflect our commitment to public health and social development.
At PHRSN, we aim to promote and sustain quality public health practices through evidence-based research, addressing critical and cross-cutting health issues. Our focus is on developing and implementing innovative public health solutions that strengthen Nepal’s health system. We work closely with national and international partners to advance public health research and practices, ensuring that our initiatives have a lasting and meaningful impact.
Our journey began with a vision to improve evidence-based research in public health, hygiene and sanitation, disaster management, education, gender mainstreaming, human rights, and livelihood support. We also focus on child support programs, including education, health promotion, and ensuring basic child rights. By addressing the gaps in the health system with a multidisciplinary and inclusive approach, we strive to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
